Great location with easy access to city center and public transport. The staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations for restaurants in the area. The breakfast included a good selection of items, including fresh fruit and pastries.

The bedding had stains and the bathroom had a terrible smell. The noise level at night was also a problem, making it difficult to sleep.

It was everything I needed and the breakfast was fabulous!

The staff here is helpful, and the hotel is conveniently located near the Old Botanical Garden, with a parking lot and a garage on-site for guests' use.

No airconditioning and quite a small room. Especially airconditioning was a problem as the weather was hot (35C) and our room was on the top most floor.

This hotel is in a fantastic location, very close to the city center. It made exploring the city so easy and convenient. The staff were kind and accommodating, going out of their way to assist me with a late check-in. The room had a good atmosphere, with comfortable beds that provided a great night's sleep. The breakfast was also a highlight, with a wide variety of options to choose from.

The staff (very efficient, cordial, polite), but also the cleanliness of the room (very, very good) . The breakfast was excellent as well. If we go back to Kiel, we'll choose Basic H. City again.

The lack of lift/elevators. If it weren't for that, I'd say our stay there was perfect.

Some guests may find the stairs a bit tiring to climb, especially if they have heavy luggage or mobility issues.
